Connect WordPress

Install the Aubly Client plugin and pair your WordPress site.

Requirements

  • WordPress 5.8 or higher
  • PHP 7.4 or higher
  • Admin access to install plugins

Step 1: Install the plugin

Download the Aubly Client plugin and install it via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin in your WordPress admin. Activate it after installation.

Step 2: Generate a pairing code

Go to Settings → Aubly Client. Click "Generate Pairing Code". A code like AB12-CD34-EF56 will appear. It expires in 10 minutes.

Step 3: Enter the code in Aubly

In Aubly, go to Sites → Add Site → WordPress. Enter your site URL and the pairing code. Click Add Site.

Step 4: Verify connection

The plugin will automatically claim its credentials from Aubly. Within seconds, both sides will show "Connected". Click Test Connection to confirm.

Troubleshooting

  • Code expired? Generate a new one in WordPress admin.
  • Connection failed? Click "Re-pair" on the site detail page to start fresh without deleting the site.
  • Behind Cloudflare? The pairing flow works through firewalls — the plugin makes outbound calls to Aubly, never inbound.
